Welcome to Queen's Landing (Phase One)

The Queen’s Landing community vision preserves the best of nature. Winding streets and scenic pathways have been planned that blend harmoniously with the landscape, while maintaining the continuity of the woods and conservation areas. Children can play freely and safely at the new Carnaby Park and can look forward to a future elementary school planned for the community. 212 happy homeowners call Queen's Landing their home, with more on the way, as part of our Phase 2.

Queen's Landing - Phase 1

Queen’s Landing Phase 1 offered a range of products included Single Family Homes, Back-to-Back and Traditional Townhomes

Single Family Homes were available in 5 distinct yet cohesive architectural styles - Canadiana, Victorian, Craftsman, Georgian and French Country. All homes were built to the highest standards of design, with impeccable craftsmanship and embellishments.  Impressive brick and stone elevations with decorative columns and heritage black coach lamps offer an inviting streetscape.

The Townhomes at Queen’s Landing similarly offered an array architectural styles, each with stunning brick and stone accents and heritage details, while open concept floorplans maximized interior space.

Each home in the Queen’s Landing community embraces sustainability – from cleaner air, to water savings and energy conservation. With these added features, Oakvillage homes are ENERGY STAR® for New Homes Qualified in keeping with Minto Communities commitment to embracing green thinking for sustainable living

Sustainable Living at Queen's Landing - Phase 1

The features that go into our homes are grounded in providing four key benefits to our customers – cost savings, comfort, a sense of community and healthy living. We believe that these guide our vision to create better places to live, work and play, one home and one relationship at a time.

  • High quality construction practices and an extra layer of insulation blanketing the exterior walls for a quieter, more comfortable home with reduced heating and cooling costs.
  • Low VOC paints, Coatings, and Adhesives: Minto Communities carefully selects the paints, adhesives and finishes in each home to reduce the volume of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that you breathe in.
  • Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) and Improved Circulation: This technology delivers fresh, filtered air to each room and circulates that fresh air throughout the home for improved air quality and comfort while saving you money.
  • Drain Water Heat Recovery (DWHR) systems ensures that you can recover heat energy from the hot water used in your home.

  • Drain Water Heat Recovery (DWHR) systems ensures that you can recover heat energy from the hot water used in your home.
  • Solar Ready design enables homeowners to reduce the costs of installing a solar photovoltaic system by including a roof structure that is designed to carry the extra weight and an empty conduit within the structure of the home from roof to electrical panel.
  • On-demand hot water recirculation on the master ensuite reduces the amount of time to deliver hot water to the bathroom, thus reducing the amount of water wasted while waiting for a shower to warm up.
  • Whole-home, furnace-mounted and water-efficient humidifier creates a more comfortable home by controlling humidity levels especially in the dry winter months.
  • ENERGY STAR® appliances standard in every suite. ENERGY STAR® qualified products use 30% less energy to do the same job as non-ENERGY STAR® qualified products.
  • Double-pane Low-E argon windows are designed to minimize the effects of the outside climate on the interior temperature.

Third Party Verification

At Queen's Landing Phase 1, every Minto Communities home is ENERGY STAR® certified – meaning a third-party organization inspected and tested every home to verify performance.
