Homebuyers camp out for chance to live in Queensville 2015-03-19

Two men camped out by the sales office of Minto’s Queen’s Landing Development in Queensville to earn spots in line to buy a yet-to-be-constructed house. Luckily a representative from Minto Communities Canada told them they didn’t have to stay overnight and that as long as they returned by 7 am the next day, they would be first in line.

Put on by the Manatee-Sarasota Building Industry Association, the Parade of Homes has opened 93 model homes in the two-county area over three weeks. Homes entered into the event ranged in price from $199,000 to nearly $2.5 million. Minto Communities USA won in the 100 to 200-home category for its Harbor Isle development on Perico Island.

Construction is progressing on Minto Communities USA's Festival community, a 200-acre luxury resort-style residential community near Walt Disney World. Five villa models are scheduled for completion in early April, with plans for 500 two-story luxury vacation villas. The two-story villas range from 1,605 to 2,232 square feet.

The story of Minto's Potter's Key 2015-02-13

A Stittsville resident won Minto Communities Canada's community naming competition after seeing a billboard while driving. The community is named "Potter's Key," after a lady who used to live in the community, and was a friend of the woman's family. A first for the home builder, the contest received over 350 entries, of which 194 were unique.
