To showcase some of the practices that are changing the future of home building, industry delegates took part in the Ontario Home Builders’ Association tour. It visited visited Minto Communities Canada's Southshore, a stacked townhouse project in Long Branch, which an OHBA group saw last year while the site was under construction.
Minto Communities Canada lifted a four-tonne Grill Master Express food truck to the top of the 20-storey Rideau condo tower beside TD Place to feed 200-300 workers. Grill Master CEO Roger Pattison watched nervously from the ground as his $100,000 asset was hoisted off the ground by a construction crane and up to the roof.
To celebrate the “topping off” of the tallest of the condominiums at Lansdowne Park and local caterer Grill’s Master’s 20th anniversary, a 4,000-kilogram, bright-red food truck was hoisted up 21 storeys. The party was held at noon for Minto Communities Canada's staff and construction crew, who have finished pouring all the concrete for the roof.
The first residents have moved in at The Isles of Collier Preserve. A couple closed on their new Minto Communities USA home and moved from Marco Island to The Isles of Collier Preserve. The first thing that drew them to The Isles of Collier Preserve was the nature aspect. They said that Minto homes have personality, quality and character.
Minto Communities Canada is about to introduce a new collection of condominiums called the Urban Collection in its Minto UpperWest project in Westboro. They are repackaging some suites and designs in order to make them more attractive to first-time buyers. The 25-storey condo building in the heart of Westboro is to be built at 485 Richmond Rd.
Minto Communities Canada is set to release a new slate of executive townhomes on Woodroffe Avenue in Barrhaven’s Chapman Mills community. Minto is introducing its redesigned executive townhomes that will front on to both sides of Woodroffe between Serena Way and Cresthaven Drive. There will be 45 units built here.
Minto Communities Canada is launching Minto Beechwood, the nine-storey condominium that will be located at the corner of Beechwood Avenue and MacKay Street. The building, which blends traditional and contemporary styles, will see retail businesses on the ground level and topped by residential units.
