Brent Strachan

President, Minto Communities – Ontario

In his role as President, Minto Communities - Ontario, Brent sets the strategic direction and is responsible for all aspects of the Communities’ team operations in Ottawa and Toronto, delivering between 1,000 and 2,000 new homes and condos every year across both markets. .

Brent began his career at Minto in 1999 on the Land Development team, overseeing design and entitlements on Master Planned Communities. He then shifted to the housing side as General Manager of the Design Centre and Architecture, followed by an executive role as Vice President of Operations. Brent was responsible for heading up Minto’s re-entry into the high-rise market in Ottawa as Vice President of High-rise, with successful LEED mixed-use projects including UpperWest, Beechwood and the residential towers in the redevelopment of Lansdowne. In 2014 he assumed the oversight of all aspects of Communities’ Operations, including both low-rise and high-rise, first as Senior Vice President then as Division President.

Brent holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Survey Engineering from Ryerson University.
