Minto Communities Starts Construction on The Isles of Collier Preserve Discovery Sales Center
NAPLES, Fla. –Minto Communities has announced that construction has begun on the Discovery Sales Center at The Isles of Collier Preserve in Naples. The Discovery Sales Center is scheduled to open in November 2013, and will showcase the community and lifestyle future residents will experience. The Isles of Collier Preserve is a 2,400-acre residential community that has dedicated more than half of its land to natural habitat and preserve. These preservation areas will be connected by a network of recreational trails, bike paths and waterways for kayaking.
Every aspect of The Isles of Collier Preserve is being meticulously planned by Minto to create a sustainable community that embraces nature and an active lifestyle. “The Isles of Collier Preserve will be a world-class community known for its dedication to the environment,” notes Minto Communities Florida Vice President William Bullock.
The Discovery Sales Center’s transitional Old Florida design will include large overhangs and timber brackets, with coral stone walls and sweeping window expanses that reveal views of the community’s breathtaking natural surroundings.
When completed, the 7,330-square-foot Discovery Sales Center will feature a dynamic, interactive community presentation and information about the surrounding area and numerous activities. Impressive features include a soaring 28-foot reception lobby that serves as the hub of the building. Just off the lobby, guests will enter a dramatic space with circular walls that recreates a natural cypress wetland.
At the center of the room is a 14’ tall replica cypress tree, surrounded by a circular boardwalk. Along the boardwalk’s perimeter are exhibits on The Isles of Collier Preserve’s neighbors: Naples Botanical Garden, Rookery Bay Reserve, The Conservancy, Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), Bayshore Cultural and Performing Arts Center and Hamilton Harbor Yacht Club.
From the Discovery Sales Center, visitors will follow a meandering pathway through a botanical garden exhibit that presents many of the area’s native and indigenous plants. The pathway leads to a boathouse, dock and kayak launch. Here, visitors can board an electric boat for tours of the community’s beautiful waterways. The Isles of Collier Preserve is located just minutes from downtown Naples and the vibrant Fifth Avenue shopping and dining district. The magnificent 2,400-acre property is bordered on the south by Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, on the north by the Naples Botanical Garden, and on the west by Naples Bay.
The Isles of Collier Preserve is planned to have approximately 1,600 residences situated on several lakes, waterways and scenic nature preserves. Minto is recognized as a leader in green construction. A variety of innovative, energy efficient home designs, including coach homes and single-family homes are designed to complement their natural surroundings. Seven model homes will be open for viewing in January 2014.
The Isles of Collier Preserve is contiguous to Hamilton Harbor Yacht Club, a full-service yacht club and marina. Resident memberships are available at Hamilton Harbor, a designated Clean Marina, featuring 160 acres of natural wetlands on the edge of Rookery Bay Reserve.
