Latitude Margaritaville sweeps 2018 Lighthouse Awards

Awards include best community and multiple bests for models

Hilton Head, SC — November 20, 2018 — Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head by Minto Communities received 17 awards at the Hilton Head Area Builders Association Lighthouse Awards ceremony held November 9, 2018 at the Sonesta Resort on Hilton Head Island.

Latitude Margaritaville communities — inspired by the music of legendary singer, songwriter and best selling author Jimmy Buffett — are being developed in a unique partnership between Minto and global lifestyle brand Margaritaville Holdings. “We are honored to receive this significant industry recognition. We are particularly gratified to be recognized for our Latitude Margaritaville communities within their first year of opening,” notes Minto’s Latitude Margaritaville Division President William Bullock.

First held in 1999, the Lighthouse Awards are presented annually to builder members of the Hilton Head Area Home Builders Association for the demonstration of quality craftsmanship and design excellence in the construction of homes throughout the Lowcountry. A panel of 12 judges, split into four teams, spent two days visiting the entries from Hilton Head Island to Habersham, South Carolina.

Winning the greatest number of awards presented, Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head was recognized in multiple categories. The Barbuda and Jamaica models won for best kitchen; the Parrot, Nevis and Aruba models won for best exterior; the Barbuda, Jamaica and Coconut models won for best bathroom, and the Barbuda, Jamaica, Coconut and Aruba models won for best overall new home. Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head also won best community, best landscape design and best interior design/merchandising for the Jamaica, Breeze and Trinidad models.

Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head villa and single-family homes range in size from 1,503 to 2,564 square feet under air. Four villa home models include the Antigua, Barbuda, Jamaica and Nevis, ranging from 1,503 to 1,862 square feet under air. All have two bedrooms, den or hobby room, two baths, covered lanai and two-car garage. Villa pricing starts at $243,990.

Five single-family home models include the Coconut, Parrot, Breeze, Aruba and Trinidad. Single-family home models range from 1,684 to 2,564 square feet under air, and feature two to three bedrooms plus den, two to three-car garages, two to three-and-a-half baths and a covered lanai. Single-family home pricing starts at $293,990.

Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head is the second of the communities to open. Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach was the first to open, and Latitude Margaritaville Watersound to be located in Florida’s Panhandle is in the planning stage, and projected to open in 2020. Plans call for additional Latitude Margaritaville communities to be located in some of the most desirable resort destinations in the U.S.
