Construction starts on The Isles Club at The Isles of Collier Preserve Design inspired by original Naples Beach Hotel
Naples, FL — Minto Communities Senior Vice President William Bullock announces that construction has started on The Isles Club at The Isles of Collier Preserve. The clubhouse is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2015. It will be the social focal point of The Isles of Collier Preserve, a 2,400-acre, eco-friendly community located just four miles from downtown Naples.
“All aspects of The Isles of Collier Preserve are inspired by nature and Collier County history, and The Isles Club design is a tribute to the original Naples Beach Hotel built in 1888,” notes Bullock. The historic Naples Beach Hotel started as a 16-room inn that charged guests $3 per night. In the 1920s, the hotel grew to become the hub of Naples social life and a popular resort destination. Over the decades, many famous guests took in the tropical ambiance of Old Naples from the hotel’s front porch, including Thomas Edison, Gary Cooper, Hedy Lamarr and Richard Nixon.
Reflective of the charming coastal cottage style of the Naples Beach Hotel, The Isles Club will be wrapped by a large, awning-shaded front porch where residents can enjoy tropical breezes from old-fashioned rocking chairs. The Isles Club and surrounding grounds will include a rich array of active lifestyle and wellness amenities. Here, residents can gather for tennis, bocce ball, workouts, relaxation and social functions.
The Isles Club amenities include a resort-style swimming pool and lap pool with private, poolside cabanas; tennis and bocce ball courts; fitness lawn and lushly landscaped event courtyard, and kayak and paddleboard launch. The walkway over The Isles Club swimming pool provides an additional tribute to Collier County history. It is designed as an interpretation of the iconic Naples Pier that also was built in the 1800s, and at that time was one of the only ways visitors could come to Naples before the Tamiami Trail was built.
The Isles of Collier Preserve’s one-of-a-kind setting is bordered on the south by Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, the north by Naples Botanical Garden, and the west by Naples Bay. More than half of The Isles of Collier Preserve is dedicated to natural habitat and preserve areas connected by a network of biking paths and recreational trails with nature observation areas as well as blueways for kayaking.
With the recent addition of two new home collections, Minto now offers 45 classic coastal living home designs that complement the magnificent natural surroundings at The Isles of Collier Preserve, starting from just the mid-$300s. Four single-family and three coach home models currently are open for viewing. Single-family homes are priced from the $400s to the $700s, and range in size from 2,225 square feet under air to 2,933 square feet under air. One, two and three-story coach homes range in size from 2,169 square feet under air to 2,960 square feet under air, and are priced from the $400s to the $600s. Coach homes include private elevators and two-car garages.
A new model court, scheduled to open early next year, will showcase Minto’s new Buttonwood and Banyan collections. These new collections include five paired-villa designs that start from the mid-$300s, and nine luxury single-family home designs that are priced from the $400s to more than $1 million. “Prospective home buyers now have the opportunity to purchase a luxury home priced from just the mid-$300s at The Isles of Collier Preserve,” notes Bullock. “This represents an incredible value in the Naples market.”
Minto developed The Isles of Collier Preserve using its own funding sources, electing not to utilize Community Development District (CDD) funds. According to Bullock, “When a developer uses CDDs, the cost of infrastructure improvements is passed on to the residents. This fee shows up on the tax bill with average annual assessments ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 per year up to a maximum of 30 years. Minto didn’t want to burden our residents with this.”
The Isles of Collier Preserve is located on U.S. 41/Tamiami Trail East, south of Thomasson Drive. The Discovery Sales Center is open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free electric boat tours are available 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
