City of Westlake Approves Site Plan for Entertainment Venue “Adrenaline World” at Westlake Landings

CITY OF WESTLAKE, FL (November 23, 2021) — The City of Westlake has approved the site plan for Adrenaline World, a purpose-built fun park for the entire family. Located within Westlake Landings, this site consists of 14.4 acres and will contain multiple indoor and outdoor recreation venues. Construction is expected to start in 2022.

The indoor recreation building will contain an arcade, virtual reality games, various themed climbing structures, a trampoline park, laser tag arenas, and miniature golf. Party rooms for birthdays and special events will be available for rent, and food service will be provided as an amenity to those using the facilities.

The outside portion of Adrenaline World will be home to the longest Go-Kart track in Florida along with a small-kid training track. All Go-Karts will be powered by sustainable electric batteries, which reduces noise and noxious fumes associated with traditional Go-Kart facilities. Additional outdoor entertainment includes a dinosaur park, splash pad, rope course and cloud climb.

Use of Adrenaline World activities will be by appointment only, booked online in advance. Patrons will pay in advance for the use of the amenities in two-hour blocks of time. Hours of operation will be 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to midnight on weekends and holidays.

The Adrenaline World project in Westlake is being led by retired professional tennis players David Lloyd and Johan Kriek. This would be their first major investment outside of Great Britain where the entertainment concept originated.

“We are so excited to bring this new recreation venue to Westlake,” said John Carter, vice president of Minto Communities, the master developer of the 3,800-acre Westlake community that is approved for 4,500 homes and more than 2.2-million-square-feet of commercial space. “Adrenaline World will be a huge attraction and source of fun for families in Westlake and all across Palm Beach County.”

Adrenaline World will be built in Westlake Landings, a 50-acre master-planned business park located off Seminole Pratt Whitney Road. The City of Westlake has also approved the site plan for the Shoppes of Westlake Landings, approximately 23,000 square feet of retail space being developed by Konover South. So far, leases have been signed with Verizon Communications, Go Green Dry Cleaner and Sauced BBQ and Whiskey Shack. Negotiations are underway for several hamburger concepts, a smoothie shop, dental practice, and fitness studio.

Other non-residential development in the city includes a new concept 7-Eleven and gas station, the first new retail business in Westlake since it incorporated in 2016. Off Seminole Pratt Whitney Road, it features a take-out/dine-in restaurant with made-to-order-food, a wine cellar with curated wines, and a nitro cold-brew and iced tea bar.

A second 7-Eleven is set to open in the coming months, while Publix prepares to build a multi-tenant retail center that will be anchored by a 50,000-square-foot grocery store. A warehouse, self-storage facility and entertainment venue are also being planned for Westlake Landings.

The Tax Collector’s office in Palm Beach County is finishing up construction on a new regional service center in Westlake, as Christ Fellowship Church prepares to break ground on an 800-seat worship center.

Westlake is located at 16610 Town Center Parkway North in the City of Westlake, on Seminole Pratt Whitney Road between Southern Blvd. and Northlake Blvd. For more information on the community, call 888-299-3628 or visit
