Minto Launches Quinn's Pointe

Newly designed homes based on homebuyers’ feedback available in Barrhaven South

Ottawa, ON (April 22, 2015) - Quinn’s Pointe, Minto’s newest community in the Ottawa area, will be opening its sales office to the public this Saturday, April 25 with over 800 pre-registered homebuyers.

Named after the Quinn family, who first settled in the area of Barnsdale and Prince of Wales, Quinn’s Pointe represents the heritage of many Irish settlers who first developed land in what is today known as Barrhaven South.  Quinn’s Pointe is tucked away with short streets aptly named with Irish history in mind, just south of the Jock River.  Phase one offers a new school site and four acres of parkland central to all of the homes with walking paths, a playground, splash pads and outdoor skating rink.

In addition to introducing some never seen before new townhome designs, Minto is also introducing three new single family home designs that have been carefully designed based on popular customer feedback.

The new Executive Townhome designs incorporated the feedback for more spacious entertaining space.  New nine foot ceilings allow for larger windows and lots of natural light, while the open kitchen and living space provide a fresh and welcoming open concept.  One townhome even has an optional fifth bedroom and a den while other designs include a mudroom for the busy family and second floor laundry.  These are features and design ideas that are rarely seen in a typical townhome.  Minto continues to include a fully finished basement in all of its townhomes that add valuable square footage and finished areas for families to enjoy.

Quinn’s Pointe offers three new Single Family Home designs, ranging from 30’ to 43’ lots. The Jefferson (30’) model is ideal for those who value the rarity of corner lots with a double-car garage, formal dining features and a large size porch. The Georgian (36’) meets the pent up demand for a more traditional style first floor with a defined living and dining room as well as a great room. The largest model, Okanagan (43’), fulfills the demand for a larger home with all the upgrades. The first floor includes a separate dining, living room and office with Minto’s signature circular staircase leading to four bedrooms, each with its own walk-in closet.
Phase one of Quinn’s Pointe includes 477 homes consisting of Single Family and Townhomes.
