Minto Communities presents WinterFest at Sun City Center December 12 and the annual Sun, Sand & Surf Golf Cart Parade

Sun City Center, FL — Minto Communities presents the fifth annual WinterFest and Sun City Center’s historic Sun, Sand & Surf Golf Cart Parade on Saturday, December 12, at Sun City Center, 1009 North Pebble Beach Boulevard.

The ever-popular parade of golf carts ingeniously decorated and driven by Sun City Center residents is a highlight of the holiday season. The golf cart parade begins at 10 a.m., and entry in the parade is restricted to greater Sun City Center area residents. However, the public is invited to watch the Golf Cart Parade. Minto is awarding $6,000 in American Express gift cards to golf cart parade winners. Raffle tickets will be distributed at the registration table and five lucky winners will be awarded an American Express gift card up to $400 just for participating in the parade.

The parade is followed by WinterFest fun from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. WinterFest events are open to the public. WinterFest is presented by Minto, and includes live music and entertainment, a pet contest at 12 p.m., holiday shopping and more. Food will be available for sale.

According to Minto Senior Vice President William Bullock, “Minto is pleased to sponsor this unique annual event. Sun City Center residents have a great time decorating their golf carts for the parade, and it’s amazing to see the many colorful looks and creative approaches that they come up with.”

Minto also presents four fully decorated luxury single-family home models and four luxury paired villa models in Sun City Center.  Single-family home models include the Laguna, Palisade, Montecito and Solana, ranging in size from 1,683 square feet under air to 2,557 square feet under air, and priced from the low $200s.

Fully furnished paired-villa models include the Palm, Magnolia, Banyan and Buttonwood. Paired-villas range in size from 1,503 square feet under air to 1,862 square feet under air, and are priced from the $180s.  Two and three bedroom floor plans are available. All have open, great room designs, covered, screened lanais and two-car garages.

Named by Where to Retire magazine as a member of the Hall of Fame of Best Master-Planned Communities, Sun City Center is known as one of the country’s most popular active-adult communities, offering an unparalleled range of community amenities that include four golf courses, clubhouses, indoor and outdoor pools, fitness and wellness centers, tennis and pickleball courts, luxurious spas, fine dining and entertainment and more than 200 clubs. Sun City Center also is close to the recreational, shopping, dining and cultural offerings of Tampa and Sarasota.

Minto developed Sun City Center using its own funding sources, electing not to utilize Community Development District (CDD) funds.  According to Bullock, “When a developer uses CDDs, the cost of infrastructure improvements is passed on to the residents.  This fee shows up on the tax bill with average annual assessments ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 per year up to a maximum of 30 years. Minto didn’t want to burden our residents with this.”

The Sun City Center sales center is located at 105 Commercial Center Drive, Sun City Center, Florida. Sales center hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For information, call 888-253-1567 or visit mintofla.com.
