Drain Water Heat Recovery (DWHR)
A maintenance-free, drain water heat recovery system captures thermal energy from water going down the drain and transfers it to fresh cold water, pre-heating the water before entering the hot water heater.

Enhanced Insulation
Enhanced insulation can be found throughout our homes, whether in the attic, walls or foundation. Minto is committed to building better homes that exceed building code minimums to provide more value to our customers. An example of this is rigid insulation. Typically comprised of a 1-inch layer on the exterior wall of the homes, this feature acts as a continuous thermal barrier, reducing thermal bridging to make the home more comfortable while also saving money on heating and cooling.
Green Label® Carpets

Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV)
This piece of equipment acts as the lungs of your home. Today’s homes are built to be less drafty than in the past and while this means improved comfort, it also means less fresh air in your home, unless of course you have an HRV. The HRV introduces fresh air that gets distributed throughout the home and captures energy from exhaust air to reduce your heating and cooling costs. This provides superior indoor air quality and helps save you money.

ENERGY STAR® qualified windows are certified and verified to perform better than standard windows. These windows save money by reducing heating and cooling loads while also making the home more comfortable by providing a more consistent temperature throughout.

Rainwater Harvesting
Rainwater is collected from the roof and stored in a cistern for future use by the irrigation system. Watering plants with harvested rainwater instead of drinking water helps saves money.
