Minto's Isles Club at The Isles of Collier Preserve nears completion

The Isles Club at The Isles of Collier Preserve by Minto Communities is nearing completion and is projected to open later this year.  The addition of The Isles Club adds yet another outstanding amenity to this award-winning, eco-friendly community.  Minto has received many national, regional and Southwest Florida industry awards for The Isles of Collier Preserve, including for community design, home design and green building practices.

The design of the Isles Club was inspired by the charming coastal cottage style of the original Naples Beach Hotel built in 1888 as a 16-room inn that charged guests $3 per night.  In the 1920s, the Naples Beach Hotel grew to become the hub of Naples social life and a popular resort destination. Over the decades, many famous guests took in the tropical ambiance of Old Naples from the front porch of the landmark hotel, including Thomas Edison, Gary Cooper and Hedy Lamarr.

Like the original Naples Beach Hotel, The Isles Club is distinguished by a stylized cupola and large awning-shaded front porch where residents can enjoy tropical breezes while relaxing in old-fashioned rocking chairs. Just as the historic hotel was the social focal point of Naples in its day, The Isles Club will be the social focal point of The Isles of Collier Preserve.

The Isles Club will include an array of active lifestyle and wellness amenities. Residents and friends will gather at The Isles Club for dining and social functions, swimming and sunbathing, tennis, bocce ball and workouts in the state-of-the-art fitness center. A lushly landscaped event courtyard, yoga lawn and kayak launch provide additional opportunities for outdoor recreation.  The Club’s resort-style swimming pool and lap pool feature another tribute to Collier County history.

The walkway over the pool is an interpretation of the signature “T” shape of the iconic Naples Pier that also was originally built in the 1800s.  A rustic Overlook Bar and Grill with views of the Cypress Waterway will be added in the future as well as a kayak dock to accommodate residents arriving via the Cypress Waterway. Phase one of the Club is 16,500 square feet. With the addition of phase two, the club will be approximately 20,000 square feet.

The Isles of Collier Preserve is a uniquely located 2,400-acre community that is bordered on the south by Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, the north by Naples Botanical Garden, and the west by Dollar Bay.  More than half of the 2,400 acres is dedicated to natural habitat and preserve areas connected by a network of biking paths and recreational trails with exercise stations and nature observation areas as well as blueways for kayaking.

“All planning and design aspects of The Isles of Collier Preserve were inspired by nature and informed by historic references to the classic coastal architecture of Old Naples,” notes Minto Senior Vice President William Bullock. “This world-class, eco-friendly community truly offers a one-of-a-kind lifestyle to its residents.”
