Minto Sells Out Initial Lot Release During Weekend Launch of Third Neighborhood in Westlake
20 families camped out overnight for first release of The Groves of Westlake
CITY OF WESTLAKE, FL – (July 13, 2020) – Minto Communities USA, the master developer and lead builder of Westlake, saw huge sales success for its newest neighborhood, The Groves of Westlake, during their initial homesite release on Saturday, July 11. The neighborhood immediately sold out of its first 17 lots, and Minto sold 24 homes overall throughout the weekend. Due to the overwhelming interest from customers, Minto just released an additional 19 homesites in The Groves today.
Over 20 families camped out on Friday night to be the first to choose their new homesite in The Groves, including firefighter James Pacetti and his wife Jenelle, who is a stay-at-home mom to their infant twins.
“We chose purchasing a home here because of the community. We want our kids to grow up in a suburban neighborhood where everyone knows each other, and that’s what we found here,” said Jenelle Pacetti. “This was the craziest experience of my life; something I never thought I would do but am so glad I did.”
The Pacetti’s purchased a Schefflera home from Minto’s Cypress Collection of single-family homes. Jenelle said she chose it because of the open floorplan and large homesite.
“The open layout is perfect for entertaining, which we do a lot because we have infant twins and do not go out much,” she said. “I am also a stay-at-home mom, so buying a home with a spacious floorplan was very important for me.”
Located south of Minto’s first two neighborhoods - The Hammocks and The Meadows - The Groves is a gated neighborhood on Persimmon Boulevard that will offer 424 single-family homesites, many with lake views. Buyers can choose from two separate home collections. The Cypress Collection, built on 50-foot lots, has 15 unique floorplans ranging from 1,921 to 4,025 square feet under air. Home prices start in the low $300s. The Indigo Collection, designed for 65-foot lots, offers 11 floorplans that range from 2,410 to 4,320 square feet under air, with prices starting in the high $300s. Six designer model homes are available for touring.
Minto recently introduced the brand new Sycamore Grand floorplan at Westlake, which offers 2,586 square feet under air with 4 bedrooms, den and 3.5 baths. This spacious home includes two luxurious master suites – one upstairs and one downstairs – with base prices starting at $375,990.
Home sales in Westlake continue to beat projections as Minto has sold more than 670 single-family homes since opening in October 2017. A census report in July 2019 showed that the City of Westlake is the fastest growing city in Florida. The 3,800-acre community is approved for 4,500 homes and more than two-million square feet of commercial space.
In June 2019, Minto opened the first phase of its $15 million amenities center. The Westlake Adventure Park includes a resort-style lagoon pool with water slide, a kids’ interactive splash pad, and poolside concessions. An expansive recreational lawn features a covered concert pavilion and grassy area for events, along with shade pavilions, grills and picnic area, BMX pump park, playground, bocce ball courts and a dog park. Phase 2 will include basketball courts and adult lap pool.
Non-residential development in Westlake is also taking shape. At the beginning of the year, Palm Beach County opened a new state-of-the-art fire station and Christ Fellowship Church has started building an 800-seat worship center off of Seminole Pratt Whitney Road. Construction is scheduled to begin on a new 7-11 gas station and convenience store, and Florida Power & Light recently completed a 400-acre solar energy center within the Westlake city limits.
Last year, Wellington Regional Medical Center opened a new stand-alone emergency department, and a few months later acquired the adjoining 35 acres for a future medical campus.
