Minto Properties wins 2016 FRPO Community Service Award of Excellence

Award demonstrates Minto Properties’ commitment to doing what’s right through customer service and community involvement

Toronto, ON (December 2, 2016) – Minto Properties Inc. was honoured for Community Service Excellence last evening at the Marketing, Achievement and Construction (MAC) Awards presented by the Federation of Rental-housing Providers of Ontario (FRPO). The industry awards, which celebrate business leadership in the residential housing industry, also presented the company with the award for Certified Rental Building Member Company of the Year (OVER 15 Buildings Enrolled).

Minto Properties received the Community Service Award of Excellence for going above and beyond to give back to the local communities in which they operate. Minto’s corporate mission statement to create better places to live, work and play embraces community service as part of the concept of “better.” Helping grow strong and healthy communities is fundamental to Minto’s core. Community Service is integrated in the company culture, through sponsorships, donations, a pledge-matching program, time-off for volunteering and employee workplace fundraising campaigns. In fact, employees and the organization as a whole contributed thousands of volunteer hours to short- and long-term charitable initiatives, and raised over $1 million this past year.

The award for Certified Rental Building Member Company of the Year over 15 Buildings Enrolled honours a residential rental company that best demonstrates commitment to the Certified Rental Building (CRB) program’s values, which includes an ongoing commitment to quality of apartment living and quality service, while working with residents to create greener apartment communities. A CRB member for 12 years, Minto Properties manages 10,844 units in 33 CRB communities in Ontario, and is proud to be recognized for staying true to delivering exceptional customer and community service.
