Minto Recognized as Ontario Green Builder of the Year
Ottawa, ON (February 26, 2016) — The Minto Group was again honoured for its commitment to energy efficiency and creating better places through its sustainability practices at the 2015 EnerQuality Awards Gala held yesterday in Toronto. Consistent dedication to designing and building high performing, comfortable and efficient new homes for its customers earned Minto the Ontario Green Builder of the Year award, marking the fourth time in five years the company has received this honour.

Founded in 1998, EnerQuality’s mission is to transform Ontario’s housing into the most energy efficient and sustainable in the world through voluntary green building labeling programs like EnergyStar, LEED and EnerGuide. Minto has been at the forefront of meeting and exceeding these standards within its developments, labelling over 1,500 new Ontario homes in 2015 alone.
The Minto Group was one of the first major developers in Canada to support green building initiatives and has enjoyed a long history of Ontario green building accolades, including being named the Ontario Home Builder of the Year by the Ontario Home Builders Association in 2012 and 2014.
