In January, builders, developers, designers and marketers were recognized at the National Sales and Marketing Awards. Minto Communities Canada won two silver awards for its work on two Toronto-based developments: Bside, a condo development at Bathurst and Front Streets, and Longbranch, a collection of stacked townhomes in the city’s west end.
This year’s Awards of Distinction for the Ontario Home Builders’ Association honoured builders from across Ontario. Among the winners was Minto Communities who won Most Outstanding High-Rise for Yorkville Park in Toronto, Project of the year High or Mid-Rise and Best High or Mid-Rise Project Sales Brochure for Bside at Minto Westside in Toronto.

Minto Communities Canada hasn't needed model homes to sell buyers on its latest low-rise community 30 minutes north of Toronto. The first two blocks of houses released for phase one sold quickly earlier this year. The third block in phase one has prices starting in the low $300,000s for townhouses and mid-$500,000s for detached houses.
EnerQuality says energy-efficient adoption has reached 32% of Ontario homes, thanks to builders who believe in it and to buyers who ask for it in their new home. EQ Awards honoured Minto Communities Canada in two categories: Ontario Green Builder of the Year, and the Energy Star for New Homes Builder of the Year in the large volume category.
Two men camped out by the sales office of Minto’s Queen’s Landing Development in Queensville to earn spots in line to buy a yet-to-be-constructed house. Luckily a representative from Minto Communities Canada told them they didn’t have to stay overnight and that as long as they returned by 7 am the next day, they would be first in line.
