Minto to Unveil 3,800-Acre Westlake with Family Friendly Grand Opening Event on Saturday, Oct. 28
Award-winning builder to debut first model homes, interactive sales center, in Palm Beach County’s new city
CITY OF WESTLAKE, Fla. – (October 23, 2017) – Minto Communities is set to unveil its highly anticipated master planned community, Westlake, on Saturday. The award-winning builder will hold a family-oriented grand opening event at the community from noon until 4 p.m. Minto will showcase six furnished model homes and the new 9,300 square foot interactive sales center. Westlake is located within the City of Westlake, Palm Beach County’s newest municipality incorporated in June of last year.

Minto will officially open its highly innovative sales center featuring interactive displays on the community and homes, a children’s playroom, cafe’ and full interior design center. The models are in Westlake’s first neighborhood, the Hammocks, which is planned for 325 homes on 50’ and 65’ homesites. As part of the grand opening event, the builder is hosting a day of fun, food and entertainment for the entire family. Kids can participate in an obstacle course and lawn games, paint pumpkins and navigate a computer gaming truck. There will also be a balloon twister and face painter, a photo booth and a kid-friendly DJ. Sliders, mac & cheese and other favorites will be provided.

Additional planned amenities include an adventure playground, pump park, sports courts, outdoor concert pavilion, dog park and multi-purpose building.
Minto is planning to build 4,500 single-family homes and townhomes for Westlake and more than 2 million square feet of office, retail and other non-residential uses. The Town Center will be a focal point for residents; a comprehensive retail district with an eclectic blend of national and local retailers, wide sidewalks and public spaces that host a lively calendar of programming and events.
Minto is working with the City of Westlake on a workforce housing initiative which provides income-eligible homebuyers a 3 percent down payment on a new home. In addition, Minto is also offering a program that gives public servants such as teachers, police officers and firefighters a 3 percent discount on a new home purchase. The builder has utilized private funding sources to develop Westlake, meaning there are no costly Community Development District (CDD) bond re-payment fees passed on to homeowners, which saves future Westlake residents thousands of dollars annually.
