Commitment to Community
Building healthier, vibrant communities
We recognize our corporate and social responsibility to the Ottawa community and, as a result, we give back in several different ways. We focus on the key areas of health care, sports and recreation, the arts, and the environment to help the city to grow and evolve.
We proudly support a number of initiatives that help our communities thrive, and our residents and homeowners live better. Here are a couple of worthy initiatives we have aligned ourselves with.
CHEO Dream of a Lifetime Lottery
Since 2001, Minto Communities has been proud to support the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) by building and designing the grand prize Minto Dream Home for the CHEO Dream of a Lifetime Lottery.
Together, with our valued designers, trade partners, consultants, and suppliers, we have been building beautiful Dream Homes for the past 16 years. So many of us at Minto have personal stories about what CHEO means to us, and it makes us proud to support the hospital and its valuable research. We have one united goal — to design a grand prize Dream Home that inspires all who visit and to raise as much money as we can to support the families who rely on CHEO for treatment and care.
Each year our designs change, but our commitment to supporting CHEO has stayed the same. View our gallery to experience our Minto Dream Homes.
Minto Recreation Complex
In the fall of 2014, the Minto Recreation Complex opened its doors to the residents of Barrhaven. Since then, this 160,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility has become a hub for the community, offering a multitude of fitness and recreational activities for all ages and abilities.
Minto Communities is proud to partner with the City of Ottawa’s Community Champions Program which allows businesses and organizations to sponsor local programs and services. It’s thanks to this program that the Minto Recreation Complex, and many other facilities across Ottawa, are here for us all to share and enjoy.
