2. Shenkman Arts Centre

Shenkman Arts Centre offers entertainment in both English and French, with 17 studios, two theatres, and seven galleries all within the building. If you feel inspired after catching a show, Shenkman also offers classes and camps taught by expert teachers for you to hone your craft. 

3. Movie Theatres

A night at the movies is a great family activity, and in Orléans you have a few theatres to choose from. Landmark Cinemas has all the latest blockbuster releases, while Ciné Starz has a smaller selection of films – but its prices are less expensive! Landmark has sensory-friendly showings and “Park the Stroller” events for younger kids, so there’s something for everyone.

4. Princess Louise Falls

There’s no need to go to Niagara when the Princess Louise Falls are in Orléans! Take the 3.5 kilometre out-and-back trail and discover the stunning falls cascading down rock features. It’s a serene escape from everyday life, and the trail is considered easy so everyone in the family can partake. The only caution is due to potentially slippery rocks, so be sure to watch your step!

5. Millenium Park

Who doesn't love a day at the park, and Millenium Park has it all. Located at 2010 Trim Road in Orléans, kids of all ages can enjoy the sports field, climbing equipment, and multiple play structures. Let's not forget the jaw dropping splash pad, which some would say is the best in Ottawa.
