Manotick’s Winter Carnival

Every winter, the Manotick Village Community Association hosts Shiverfest, a fun, frosty event for families and kids of all ages—even the young at heart.

Typically, the festivities kick off on a Friday evening with hot chocolate and a bonfire, followed by a skating exhibition and public skate at the Manotick Arena. Just a block away, families enjoy the thrill of enchantment at the Manotick Legion’s indoor magic show.

Curling demos at the Manotick Curling Club or bingo at Manotick United Church are also great ways to beat the cold. The annual Chili Cook-Off is a must as well—the perfect opportunity to test your culinary prowess, or simply sample some delicious creations. Live musical performances are sure to entertain, with opportunities to share your talents at the open mic throughout the afternoon and evening.
