1. Watson’s Mill

Celebrate the history of Manotick at Watson’s Mill, a functioning 1860’s water-powered flour mill. Take a guided tour through the mill and learn about its history, how it works, and how you can help with preservation. Built by Moss Kent Dickinson and Joseph Currier, who founded the town of Manotick, Watson’s Mill creates a social, cultural, and educational heritage experience for people of all ages. It’s also home to a used book store, with proceeds going to maintenance of the mill.

2. Millers Farm

For family fun in spring, summer, and fall, Millers Farm has you covered. The family-owned business has been around since 1981 when the Miller family started growing berries. What started as two acres of strawberries has since grown into a full farm, market, and garden centre. From mid June to the end of October, you and the family can pick your own produce – everything from berries to pumpkins to garlic scapes. In the fall there are also wagon rides and a corn maze, sure to get you in the autumn spirit. 

3. Gees Bees Honey Company

It’s the bee's knees at Gees Bees, a honey company near Manotick that started when Marianne and Matt Gee rescued a colony of honeybees in their home. You can take a self-guided walking tour of their 8-acre farm along the Rideau River, or don a bee suit and get an up-close look at honey bees inside an actual beehive!

4. David Bartlett Park

Dogs are part of the family, too! David Bartlett Park is an off-leash dog park with 35 acres of greenspace. Follow the trail along the river, about a 2 kilometre walk, and let your furry friend take a swim while you and the family enjoy a picnic. 

5. Major Ross Chamberlain Park

Let the kids burn off some energy at Major Ross Chamberlaine Park. Located within Mahogany, Manotick at 209 Alabaster Heights a beautiful quiet street Major Ross Chamerlaine Park has play structures and wide open spaces, making it the perfect place for the little ones to let loose.
