The room is best suited for families with kids over the age of 8, as logical thinking and problem-solving will most definitely be required.
2. Landmark Cinemas
Knowing where the local movie theater is can be a life-saver on rainy days. Landmark Cinemas at Kanata Centrum runs all the latest films, and also has special experiences like stroller-friendly showings and sensory-friendly films. The theaters concession is like a mini convenience store where you can get bulk candy, hot food, drinks, movie merchandise, and of course, popcorn.
4. Xtreme Trampoline Park
Get up and active with Xtreme Trampoline Park, located down the road from Costco on Frank Nighbor Place. Jumpers of any age or experience level can release their inner child while jumping into the foam pit, dunking on the basketball court, playing dodgeball, or just doing their own thing in the freestyle jumping area. There’s also a designated toddler space for the little ones! Xtreme Trampoline Park also offers programs like fitness classes, Xtreme Nights (complete with lights and music), and Toddler Time in the mornings.
3. Walter Baker Park
Pack a picnic, bring a frisbee, and spend the day at Walter Baker Park with your whole family. Located next to the Kanata Recreation Complex on Charlie Rogers Place, Walter Baker Park has play structures, soccer fields, a pond surrounded by a walking trail, and a giant hill where you can sit and look out over the area. It’s also a great sledding hill in the winter!
5. Blackbird Falls Putting Course
As part of the prestigious Marshes Golf Club on Terry Fox Drive, you’ll find the Blackbird Falls Putting Course. Bring the whole family to this 18-hole mini-putting course where you can test your skills and have a ton of fun. No reservations are required.
