Minto Communities is gearing up for construction of The Saint, a 46-storey, Wallman Architects-designed condominium development at Church and Lombard in Downtown Toronto, most recently with the filing of applications for building permits. As construction draws closer, details continue to emerge about the building's 419 condominium units, which are being sold in a variety of studio, one, two, and three-bedroom floorplans.

The Saint will employ a number of building efficiency measures that improve the building's overall efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint. Some measures will be deployed in every suite, starting in main living spaces with heating and cooling systems with high-performance air filters. The aesthetic is a blend of smooth and textured surfaces, natural materials, and open space.

Kitchens will feature ample spaces with layouts designed for easy movement, high-end finishes, and other features not quite as evident in renderings. These include under-counter waste sorting systems, as well as faucets connected to a building-wide water filtration system, minimizing residents' carbon footprint and ensuring water purity.

Bedrooms will offer floor-to-ceiling windows allowing ample natural light to penetrate, which offsets energy consumption for lighting and heating during the colder months of the year. Finishes like wood grain flooring will also be present in bedrooms at The Saint.

Similar features will be included in bathrooms, such as high-performance water fixtures that increase efficiency and savings. These spaces will also feature high-end porcelain tile finishes and natural textured floors.
