More than 500 people attended the grand opening of four new villa models in The Isles of Collier Preserve by Minto Communities USA in early February. Guests also took guided electric boat tours of the Cypress Waterway, walked the community’s nature trails and toured its 7,330-square-foot sales center with a re-created cypress wetland.

A Stittsville resident won Minto Communities Canada's community naming competition after seeing a billboard while driving. The community is named "Potter's Key," after a lady who used to live in the community, and was a friend of the woman's family. A first for the home builder, the contest received over 350 entries, of which 194 were unique.

For Minto Communities Canada, what happens in Vegas certainly doesn’t stay in Vegas. The company has been proudly boasting about the 19 awards it won last month at the National Association of Home Builders 2015 National Sales and Marketing Awards in Las Vegas, the event’s 35th year. Minto took home three gold and 16 silver awards.

Minto Communities Canada's new Stittsville development will be called “Potter’s Key”, named after Ethel May Potter who owned the lot at 209 Carp Road almost 60 years ago. The name was suggested by a long-time Stittsville resident. When she found out about Minto’s contest to name the development, she says she instantly knew what it should be called.

With over 194 submissions to the contest, choosing the right name was no easy task but the story behind ‘Potter’s Key’ struck a chord with Minto and seemed a perfect fit for the new community.
Minto Communities USA is presenting a grand opening event to introduce four new villa models. These new, furnished luxury villa models — the Fresia, Petunia, Mimosa and Dahlia—will be showcased and open to the public. In addition three furnished coach home models and four furnished single-family models will be available for touring.

Now in the pre-construction phase, Minto Communities Canada's condominium project, Minto Westside, at the northeast corner of Bathurst and Front Sts. is scheduled for occupancy in 2018. It will have amenities designed to appeal to millennials, including two floors worth of large, interactive spaces described as an “adult playground”.

The lavishly furnished monster home in Manotick makes up the bulk of the $1.76-million grand prize in the annual Dream of a Lifetime lottery. The attraction of the dream home continues to impress with Minto Communities Canada's 3,625-square-foot home fully outfitted, thanks to a slew of companies donating products and services.
Minto Communities USA Senior Vice President William Bullock announced construction has started on The Isles Club at The Isles of Collier Preserve. The clubhouse is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2015. It will be the social focal point of The Isles of Collier Preserve, a 2,400-acre community located just four miles from downtown Naples.
