Pet Friendly Apartments
The International is a home for you and your pet. We know how important your pet is to you, that's why we incorporated pet friendly features into the premium amenities you and your pet will have access to.
Stop by the dog wash on the main floor and pamper your pet without having to leave the comfort of your home. Want some fresh air? The rooftop garden + BBQ area is a great place to stop and admire the flowers.
For leisurely days with your pet, head to Prince’s Island Park or spend some time walking along RiverWalk pathway. Stampede Park, home of the world-famous Calgary Stampede, is nearby and the Calgary Zoo is always a hit.
The Full Fitness Centre, Indoor Pool, Bar + Lounge, Dog Wash, Rooftop Garden + BBQ area, and Games Room are just a few highlights of the premium condo-like amenities at The International. Renovated from top to bottom, every detail in these stunning apartments was laboured over to achieve the perfect mix between vintage and modern. We designed the amenities to be just as chic as the suites, with carefully selected finishes and small touches that you will appreciate.
The International has been an iconic hotel for five decades, with many high profile celebrities and athletes staying there over the years. Did you know it was originally designed as an apartment building in 1970? We're taking this iconic hotel to its original plan - from iconic hotel to iconic apartments located in the Downtown Calgary core.
Living at The International means you'll be connected to the downtown core through the Plus 15. What is the Plus 15? It's one of the world’s most extensive pedestrian skywalk systems, with 18 kms of direct indoor access to the CORE shopping, plazas, banks, hotels, towers and all of the eateries, cafés and shops in between. No need to layer up and step out into the cold weather. With 150 retailers within walking distance from your apartment, is there any reason to leave?
Living in the heart of Downtown Calgary also means you'll be close to the CTrain and a short drive to the Calgary International Airport for work travel or weekend trips. Everything is simply convenient at The International.
The Full Fitness Centre + Pool
Spacious with state of the art brand new equipment, the full fitness centre is the place to achieve your fitness goals. Empowering and serene - the modern colourful design will bring up your energy. Whether you prefer cardio or weights, the fitness centre has it all.
After a good workout, stop by the expansive indoor pool for a relaxing swim.
The Common Areas
We know how important community is, that's why The International has endless hang out spots. Choose from the Party, Games or Theatre Room to hang out with family and friends. Each space is designed with comfort and style in mind. From porcelain tiles and brass metal hardware to pops of colour, the common areas are the epitome of the vintage modern aesthetic.
The Party Room has warm wood throughout and lots of space for your guests. Paired with an oversized catering kitchen with sleek counters, stainless steel appliances, and a nook for when you want to cozy up in a smaller space - it's the perfect hang out spot.
The Games Room is where the entertainment is at, with a poker and pool table, you won't even notice the time flying by. Play some great tunes on the jukebox or have some fun playing foosball - the warm, clean design will make your experience even better. And when you feel like sitting back on a comfortable couch and watching a movie, kick back and relax in the Theatre Room.
The Bar + Lounge
The sophisticated design of the Bar includes brass detailing against a clean white backdrop, reiterating the intricate detailing found throughout the building. The stylish and modern space nods to our rich history by using a few staple pieces. The beautiful brass wine rack above the luxe bar counter is the original wine rack from the 1970s.
The Bar leads into a spacious lounge with a TV and comfortable seating to function as a social workspace.
The Rooftop Garden + BBQ Area
Surround yourself with pretty greenery high above the ground and take in the breathtaking views of the Bow River. There’s just something to be said for living right downtown, yet feeling as though you’re in the great outdoors. Yes, you can see the mountains too (and Banff is only an hour’s drive away). On warmer days, head up to the rooftop with family and friends for a BBQ dinner while overlooking the cityscape.
